I spoke to the GP at around 2019 about having gender dysphoria. The GP asked if I was attracted to men, which did not seem relevant. [They] also said with a disapproving expression that [they] had heard about this from the news. [They] said that being trans and having gender dysphoria only applied for trans men or trans women who would have hormones and all surgeries. [They] said that the process took 5-10 years and that [they] did not envy those who underwent it. As I am non-binary and do not fit these specific conditions, I felt incredibly uncomfortable, especially as [they] had asked if I was attracted to men or not. Additionally, it was clear that [they] would not consider me trans or put me on the waiting list for hormones unless I said that I was a trans man who wanted every surgery. I left the room quickly, and I have not dared to speak to a doctor about this since for fear of having a similar experience. I remain off of any waiting lists for hormones or other gender affirming care.

Always felt respected and cared for. No issue with shared care agreement, adminstration of hormones, or monitoring blood tests. Easy to change name/ gender markers. Quickly referred me to Nottingham GIC when requested.

Did get misgendered in my GIC referral (2024) but every other experience has been fine/good with them

They prescribe my testosterone, do my monitoring blood tests, administer my nebido injection under a shared care agreement with a private endocrinologist. When I was starting with the private endo they did my initial blood tests.
Also went to them with a complication following gender affirming surgery (which I had privately) and they were very on top of things and the nurses were respectful to me.
They made my NHS GIC referral and updated my name and gender marker with no issues.

Cannot remember my GP's name (I believe I may have seen several different ones during the year I lived in Cambridge). [...] was very nice to me, [they are] a nurse who administered my Decapeptyl injection every three months. Very friendly and supportive.
