It’s been a fucking ordeal. It took months to get my name changed on prescription labels etc after giving them my deed poll. They were happy to remove the “Ms” title from my name before I changed my legal name, and just left the title blank. For a while my name on labels was “Deadname - Legal first name - LEGAL FIRST NAME ALL CAPS - surname”. After I got them to change my name completely to my new legal name they added the title of “Miss” back despite having sent in a letter of complaint. Asked them to change this and now my title is set as “Mx” when I had asked for the title just to be left blank but I’ve settled with this at this point. Heinous misgendering and referred to as “young lady” in referral letters. Sent in letter of complaint and haven’t seen that particular GP since. I asked to see a gp there who was happy to work with trans people and they said I can see any gp there I like so it will be a case of trial and error as there are many drs working at this practice. However the nurses now always refer to me as my new legal name and are nice in general, and seem comfortable with neurodivergence.
